Sure, there’s a massively important general election on the horizon. But where does your vote really count? Here, that’s where. A QV opinion poll is now permanently ensconced in the sidebar. Weigh in. Your opinion matters.

You should get a part-time job at Whole Foods. Do you have Whole Foods in your neck of the woods? They pay very well for part-timers. Just a suggestion.

You should get a job as a food critic for the newspaper. Just an idea!

Funny, I should have taken the quiz before posting my suggestion.

Cute!

Someone made a good suggestion about being a critic or contributing to a newspaper. You are quite humorous and very knowledgeable on a number of subjects.
My only complaint about the poll is that there weren’t enough Other:_________________ options (or any at all for that matter
.
Is Liu the only cat you have that can get you to do things you’d rather not?

I call my cat Jezebel, demon…maybe they can enter politics together…

Whole Foods is a good employment idea. I own stock in Whole Foods. If you went to work for them I would expect their stock (which is currently in the toilet, which all my stocks are, except for the salt mine–I am not making this up–I really do own stock in a salt mine and at the moment it is my most profitable investment) to go up.

Proposition A: David gets a girlfriend, but only as a sex buddy, not as a serious girlfriend. Vote YES for Prop A!
Proposition B: David sends his cats to cat school to learn some manners. Vote NO for Prop B!
Proposition C: David sets up a PayPal account for concerned citizens to send him money. We will call it the Rainy Day Fund In Case of Financial Calamity. Vote YES for Prop C!

Of course I haven’t been around to read your blog so I don’t know what precipitated this poll but I enjoyed it. You made me laugh at some (well most) of the choices. Hopefully I will have some time to spend reading. I was out of town and now I’m home but my mom came with me so I’m mom-sitting.

I won’t patronise you by telling you to ‘be patient, you’ll find a lover/a new job’ because every time someone tells me that I want to stab them through the heart with a pencil.
But, bloody hell, you’re funny.
October 2, 2008 at 12:30 pm |
Thanks, Trucie. I recommend stabbing people with letter openers. It’s a lot more stylish.
Corina — You’re mom-sitting? How cool. What precipitated this poll was that I found a site where I could create a poll.

I’m alarmed to see that 60% of voters think I should get more weasels.

What poll?
October 2, 2008 at 2:45 pm |
a pencil may not be stylish, but its handy.

Yes, David, take the results seriously and arrange your life accordingly.

Psst. Jax. Left sidebar. “Quotidian Vicissitudes Poll.”
October 2, 2008 at 9:03 pm |
Steph — The scary thing is that I thought that might be an actual link, and I clicked on it. Whether I would have purchased a weasel, had the opportunity presented itself, will remain a matter of uneasy conjecture.
October 2, 2008 at 9:16 pm |
Thanks for that. I wanted to answer questions related to something other than McCain and Obama.
October 2, 2008 at 10:39 pm |
I didn’t think about it until after I posted it that I should have put a disclaimer on it as in THIS IS NOT A REAL LINK.
I guess you figured that out already.
October 3, 2008 at 1:19 am |
If a link sits on a tree in a forest but no one clicks on it is it a real like?
October 3, 2008 at 8:10 am |
Ohhhhhh, I wasn’t looking for a link. I thought it was one of those things where Firefox was messing with me.
October 3, 2008 at 11:04 am |
Are you going to be posting the results of your poll?
October 4, 2008 at 5:25 am |
Fun poll!
I liked how 18/19 people answered the multiple choice but only 14 had answered the worded ones.
I assume that means about 20% of people find typing four words out on a poll to be too much time/effort.

Mom likes it up here. She’s staying another week! So I may not be around much. I really wanted to write something for my neglected blogs but it doesn’t look like I will get a chance to.

You are so much fun!!
